Terms of Use

A tool for you and your doctor. Not a replacement for one.

Last updated: July 2026

This is not medical advice.

CheckMyPrescription is an informational tool designed to help you prepare for conversations with your healthcare provider. It does not diagnose, treat, prescribe, or replace the judgment of a licensed medical professional.

Never start, stop, or change any medication based on what you read in a CheckMyPrescription report. Always consult your doctor, pharmacist, or other qualified healthcare provider before making any changes.

What CheckMyPrescription is

CheckMyPrescription is a research and preparation tool. It takes a list of medications and generates a plain-English summary — including FDA label information, Beers Criteria flags for medications that may be risky for older adults, potential drug interactions, and suggested questions to bring to your next appointment.

The goal is to help you walk into a doctor's appointment informed, not to make decisions for you. Your doctor has your full medical history, your test results, and the clinical training to evaluate your situation. CheckMyPrescription does not.

What CheckMyPrescription is not

Your responsibility as a user

By using CheckMyPrescription, you agree that:

Accuracy of information

CheckMyPrescription pulls drug label information from the FDA's public database (openFDA) and cross-references medications against the 2023 American Geriatrics Society Beers Criteria. While we use authoritative sources, we cannot guarantee that every report is complete, current, or free of error.

Drug labels are updated by manufacturers. New interactions are discovered over time. Your individual health circumstances may affect how any medication works for you. The report is a starting point for a conversation — not a final word.

Limitation of liability

CheckMyPrescription and its operators are not liable for any harm, loss, or medical outcome arising from the use of this tool or reliance on information in any report. Use of CheckMyPrescription is at your own risk.

This limitation applies to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of CheckMyPrescription after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
